Therapy

My Philosophy

It is our philosophy that people, at different points in their lives, may need support overcoming hurdles or may just be feeling "stuck." We enjoy working with clients who have concerns in many areas, including depression, relationships, identity, adjustment, anxiety and worry, stress and life management, or family concerns We approach each client with respect for their own unique identity and the concerns they seek therapy for.  We believe therapy is the most effective when our clients feel comfortable enough to tell us what works, what doesn't work, and can share thoughts and feelings that might be difficult to open up about.

What to expect on your first session

When you arrive have a seat in the waiting area at Meridian Behavioral Health (Suite 419). Let the person at the front desk know who you are here to see.  Your provider will come get you at your appointment time.  We will spend a few minutes completing paperwork (please bring your insurance card). After we complete paperwork, we will spend time getting to know one another, talking about concern that made you decide to seek counseling, and creating a plan for moving forward if you decide that we are a good fit to work together.

  •   We are an in-network provider for Anthem Medicaid, Humana Medicaid, Wellcare, United Medicaid, Passport and Aetna Better Health. I am also an out of network provider for other insurances.  If I am not in your network, please check with your insurance provider about out-of-network services.  I am happy to provide an itemized receipt.  I do offer a sliding scale fee for non-insured people on a case-by-case basis.

  • Please note, Dr. Lambert is in-network with most commercial insurances and Medicare, but sees those clients at Meridian Behavioral Health. To inquire about an appointment there, please call 502-409-6993.
